Hi Montage players, First I am not a professional composer music prodution songwriter, i just do all my music production recording ptojects on my ears and inspirations, the Yamaha Montage offers me a lot of motivation to have fun on making multi instruments tracks recording music without any knowledge of music notes.
short said, i just make music for fun and for hobby. !!. therefore it strikes me that despite the very many info and all the relating to
Yamaha Montage can be found on this great forum. but unfortunately there is no Yamaha Montage made music to can hear or and listening to. !!. How Come .???.

So i made a Tasting Selection On -10- Of My Self Composed Down Tempo Songwriting Adventures Yamaha Montage Multi Parts Multi Scenes Performances Creations Edits and Recordings / Music Productions Compilation Music Mix to give an idea on what i'm doing with and on my Yamaha Montage.. >>

Hello Ron - I liked all that! I'm not a musician and don't write music, but your sort of thing would most likely be my field if I did. I use Montage to produce sounds rather than music - I make the bricks, you build the house sort of thing. Have you owned a Tyros? I ask because I won't part with my Tyros 3 - on the rare occasions I feel like playing music rather than making sounds, I fire up the Tyros. Just seems to fit better - certainly the pre-sets are more finished for a musician to use right out of the box. Thanks for the demo ... really nice ...

Hi Rod Thx for listenin and nice comments. No i never have a Tyros. I did have about 30 years ago a Yamaha JW 50 keyboard
in that time there where only127 boring GM midi sounds presets no edit options no arpeggio's and sure not any recording options at all. so i sold the keyboard after couple weeks. But [lets say 20 years later] accidentally I saw on youtube a presentation of the Yamaha Motif ES and i was totally blindsided surprised on what once was possible in the world of keyboards and synthesizers. these instruments became complete home based multi track recording studio's that can create edit change sounds with even multi user banks splits-arpeggio's-drum kits- and even multiple -4- sounds with arps that runs at the same time just by playing a simple 3 finger chord - plus even a multi track recording sequencer song mode. a multi section step by step pattern recording mode etc etc, so the day after i run to a music instruments shop and buy that all in one keyboard beast even when i could not read or understand any musical notes-chords wat ever, and having handicapt hands with only 7 fingers just suddenly it was possible. to can make music with all possible instruments sounds to mix -edit and recording and only need some inspiration & motivation to can jam and make on easy way music . after couple years there was the Motif xs and now we have the Montage and i enjoy this great hobby every day. !! But aslo i am very curious on wat others who play Motif / Montage all do with these music production keyboards ???

I purposefully did not comment on this because I don't want to sound preachy or anything. And "How come" questions are notoriously wastes of time as there is never a satisfying answer. We try to restrict ourselves to "How to" questions here on the forums...

If a person is willing to share what they are doing, that's great, you cannot force someone to share and it shouldn't be difficult for you to understand how others might feel. Since in your original post you do say, "I am not a professional composer music prodution songwriter..." that is perhaps precisely why you find it difficult to understand why someone who does earn a living doing "music for hire" might not just want to post examples of what they are doing. When your livelihood depends on your creativity, you are not likely to just post away items you might be looking to sell, make any sense, Ron?

Those folks who are professional composers, music producers, song writers, might want to keep their latest compositions private, at least until they have a chance to present them to potential clients... I don't think that is a difficult thing to understand for anyone. That might be a reason "How come"!

That said, there are plenty of examples of Montage in videos here on the site (do you need links?) and all over the Internet.
Thank you for sharing your music. Check out Dom Sigalas' three videos

As you know, there are many who make their living creating both sound libraries and music for these synthesizer products. Please respect the work of others... musicians are a very small, unique set of individuals in any population (and an endangered species, according to lastest research...) precisely because there are so many predators who seek to ruin the legitimate ways to make a living with musical creativity... and there so few ways to turn music creativity into dollars.

Do you understand what I'm saying?

Song/Music on Yamaha montage: New artists try on many platforms to get some popularity. But there are only a few platforms who can give them a huge fan following like Yamaha montage.

Yes sure i do understand that..!!.But we are all Talking and discuss about a synthesizer on how making sounds and how we use the effects / how to use Pc-Daw music production softwar, with the intention to share the knowledge and learn from other Yamaha Montage / Motif users. then it's just most interesting to hear what we are actually talking about. After all on the end it is about here a musical sounds synthesizer instrument..!! if it is maybe only for hobby or professional use. But there is as good as no single small sounds and not any small audio demo to can hear where it still ultimately all about. sure
as in my case as an amateur hobby synthsizer sounds maker and synth music maker,to hear what others conjureon on their Yamaha synthesizers..??.. just
pure from interested and passion for Yamaha Motif - Montage synthesizers...

Hey ya'll,

I've got lots of tracks that have Montage on them. But here's one that is a realtime single take recording with no edits that is pure Montage.

It uses exclusively my own samples extracted from recordings of my analog gear which I loaded into Montage and built patches with.

The track has pretty dark mood/vibe ha

Listen here (on Soundcloud):

Natation

Cheers,

Joe

Hey Ron, I really like that track(s). Sounds awesome and very artistic... A bit Number 9....., really cool sounds. Here is my first Montage track. I am still learning the board.

I got a few more scratch tracks as I play with different types of arps and performance, but I am starting to sing on them.... and that the Montage can't fix 🙂
