After my first experiment with the superknob & programming, I started to notice strangeness on the keyboard and have attributed what I observe to something that "broke" by programming superknob.

I could be wrong, so here's a sanity check.

When others call up the AWM2 initialized voice - does the piano respond to velocity changes, or does it seem fixed at one velocity?

Right now my initialized AWM2 voice has no expression in terms of volume.

This seems to carry into other presets - but its easiest to focus on the AWM2 initialized preset.

I did save off a "user" and "library" file then cleared all settings and reinitialized all user and preset data (under the util menu). No change in the observed behavior.

That is correct: When you select the AWM Init it gives you a raw piano wave with no envelope, no effects, no velocity. It is a true initialization designed for "from the ground up" programming.
