I am using mine with Cubase Elements 8, the Montage Connect appears in the instrument list together with Omnisphere, Kontakt etc.

Cubase series 8 is the recommended minimum. Install it anyway, because you can run it as a standalone application even though it will not run inside Cubase 7 series.
