Will the multi-channel USB MIDI/Audio cable connect with and function with an iPad Pro (with proper USB adapter) as it does with a computer DAW? In other words, can I record and play back MIDI and audio to and from a Montage and Cubasis? Thanks in advance.

When connected to a computer you will be using the Yamaha Steinberg USB driver to handle the MIDI and the audio. When using the iPad iOS device, you will be using the Apple (class compliant) driver - so the implementation of multiple channels will be a function of that driver and, in particular, the implementation for multiple simultaneous inputs.

But Montage will connect and be able to communicate both Midi and Audio to iOS devices. Because the driver is necessarily different, operations may differ. In other words, the Montage will still have its 32-bus audio outputs, whether an iOS app is at that robust a level to receive multiple streams will depend on the app and the device. Stereo record is certainly possible...
