I was wondering what may be coming for the Fantom since there were press releases about "something big" coming.

My usual "daily" check of firmware updates found something new although not so big.

UPDATE HISTORY
[ Ver.3.02 ] OCT 2023
[ Functionality Improvements ]
Improved the stability of pronunciation when layering multiple tones.
Added adjustment parameters related to Aftertouch.
The settings are made in [MENU] -> -> KEYBOARD -> Aftertouch Pressure Range.
The larger the setting value, the better the Aftertouch control.
[ Bug Fixes ]
Minor bugs were fixed.

I'll have to learn more to know what pronunciation stability is.

This can't be the big thing ... (can it?)

I guess it does say after a long drought of no updates, here's one more. Happy flashing.

EDIT: Seems the big thing is going to be a better engine "ACB" used in their boutique synths among others. The rumored date for this is Nov 17th although I think officially only the month of November has been offered.

Reports I read is that the new aftertouch adjustments do not substantially change what is widely perceived as broken aftertouch. Software can only go so far.
